We’ve had to endure quite a bit of smoke this week, most of it is coming from fires in Idaho. The silver lining is that it acts as pseudo cloud cover. We have seen quite a few rising fish and streamers have been working as well. Water temps are stable, anywhere between 57 – 65 degrees. CFS is low right now (1600), which means reading the water is straight forward. For bugs we have been seeing caddis, some mohagonies, and a few larger hecuba drakes, (especially down low). Fall baetis are just around the corner. With more people bow and bird hunting, (and kids back to school), we have noticed less fishing pressure as well.
