Clarity in town (Friday 8/16 5:34AM)

The Yellowstone is experiencing some tiger stripes of mud yesterday and today. Yesterday boats were able to get well ahead of any color down low. Today there will be fishable (2 feet or more of vis) to be found if you can get behind the plug. Looking at the spikes on the Lamar we expect one more to come, although it looks like a shorter plug. Give us a call at the shop and trust your shuttle drivers after they have been out and have seen the river. The good news is this cooler weather and rain has really helped and several nice fish have been getting caught this past week or so! The hoot-owl in Yellowstone National Park has also been lifted, however the Firehole, Madison, and Gibbon remain closed. 1-406-222-7130.
