This variation of a CHUBBY CHERNOBYL is one of Mike’s “deadly dozen.” Designed to fool the finicky trout of the Henry’s Fork, this fly will get them anywhere stoneflies are present. This pattern is tied in different colors to imitate either a golden stone or its larger cousin. Mike suggests fishing this one high and dry to start, but if the fishing gets tough don’t be afraid to trim the wing down and give it a more flush floating appearance.
